Sushi Packaging for NZ Stores
Your rolls deserve a tray that holds its shape from the counter to the customer's lap.
We stock BioBoard and BioCane sushi trays in extra small through to long formats, sold in cartons of 300 or 600. Kraft and black board for the BioBoard range. Sugarcane fibre for the BioCane range. Both handle fridge temps and look sharp under a sneeze guard.
Whether you're running a grab-and-go counter, a bento bar, or a supermarket sushi operation, there's a tray size here that fits your product without leaving dead space. Order before 4pm on a business day and we dispatch the same day on stocked lines.
BioBoard Sushi Trays — Kraft and Black
The BioBoard range comes in five sizes: Extra Small, Small, Medium, Large, and Long. All trays are kraft on the outside, black on the inside. They're made from board with a bio-based lining, so they're compostable where facilities accept them.
- F4651 — Extra Small, 300 per carton
- F4652 — Small, 300 per carton
- F4653 — Medium, 300 per carton
- F4654 — Large, 300 per carton
- F4655 — Long, 300 per carton
The black interior makes your product the focus. The kraft exterior doesn't look out of place next to a handwritten label or a printed sticker.
BioCane Sushi Trays — Sugarcane Fibre
BioCane trays are pressed from sugarcane fibre, a byproduct of sugar production. They hold up in the fridge and handle light moisture without going soft on you. Three sizes in this range:
- F4642 — Medium, 188 x 134 x 24mm, 600 per carton
- F4644 — Large, 214 x 134 x 24mm
- F4646 — Long, 221 x 91 x 24mm
The Long tray suits hosomaki and single-row cuts. The Medium and Large handle nigiri sets and mixed boxes without crowding the product.
Which Tray for Which Product
Not every store sells the same format. Here's a rough guide to matching tray to product:
- Hosomaki rows and slim cuts — BioBoard Long or BioCane Long
- Mixed nigiri sets (6–8 pieces) — BioCane Medium or BioBoard Medium
- Large bento-style sets — BioBoard Large or BioCane Large
- Single pieces or grab-and-go snack size — BioBoard Extra Small or Small
If you're not sure, order a mixed carton of sizes while you work out what shifts fastest off your counter.

Frequently asked
Are the BioBoard trays actually compostable?+
They're made with a bio-based lining and are designed for commercial composting where facilities accept them. Check with your local waste provider to confirm what they accept in your area.
Do the BioCane trays hold up in a chilled display cabinet?+
Yes. BioCane handles fridge temperatures and light moisture without losing structural integrity. They're a solid choice for grab-and-go chilled counters.
What's the difference between the Long tray options in BioBoard and BioCane?+
The BioBoard Long is kraft and black board. The BioCane Long (F4646) is 221 x 91 x 24mm pressed sugarcane fibre. Different materials, similar footprint. Which one suits you depends on whether you prioritise the look of the black interior or the sugarcane fibre construction.
Can I get these trays custom printed with my logo?+
Custom print isn't listed for these stocked lines. Contact us directly to discuss custom options and minimum quantities.
What's the minimum order quantity?+
