Takeaway Containers for Auckland Operators

Hot curry, cold poke, or anything in between — we stock containers that handle both without leaking on your customer's car seat.

Auckland's hospo scene doesn't slow down. From CBD lunch runs to late-night Ponsonby pickups, you need containers that seal properly, stack on a shelf, and don't fall apart in a delivery bag. We supply 54 Auckland businesses already.

We stock takeaway containers in PP, bagasse, and kraft. Sizes run from 500ml to 1250ml. Leak-resistant lids, microwave-safe and freezer-safe across the range.

Materials Worth Knowing About

PP (polypropylene) — tough, reusable-grade plastic. Handles heat. Goes in the microwave and the freezer. Standard choice for most hot meal containers.

Bagasse — made from sugarcane fibre, compostable, and handles hot food without going soggy. The F4229 tray is bagasse. Good fit if your customers or council are pushing on single-use plastics.

Kraft — brown board, solid for medium portions, looks clean without trying too hard. The F2507 box is kraft. Not for soupy dishes.

Sizes and What They Actually Fit

We stock containers from 500ml up to 1250ml. Here's a rough guide:

  • 500ml — single serve of rice, a side salad, one burger and a small portion of fries.
  • 750ml — standard main meal with a sauce base. Pasta, curry, stir-fry.
  • 1000ml — generous portion or a two-component meal. Rice plus protein.
  • 1250ml — family side dish, large salad, or anything you're overfilling.

Why Auckland Operators Use Frankly

We're not a marketplace. We're a distributor that knows what hospo businesses actually need: consistent stock, honest product info, and orders that arrive without drama.

54 Auckland businesses are already ordering through us. Cafes in Newmarket, takeaway shops in Manukau, food trucks doing the weekend markets. Wholesale pricing, carton quantities, and dispatch by 4pm on stocked lines.

No minimum order theatre. No twelve-step checkout. Just products that do the job.

Sustainability Options in This Range

If you're fielding questions from customers or navigating local council requirements around single-use packaging, we have options.

The F4229 BioCane tray is made from sugarcane bagasse, a compostable material. The F1856 RPET lid is made from recycled PET plastic. Both are available in this Auckland range right now, no special order needed.

We won't oversell what these materials do. Compostable containers need the right facilities to break down. We'll give you the specs and let you decide what fits your operation.

Frequently asked

What sizes do you stock for takeaway containers in Auckland?+

500ml, 750ml, 1000ml, and 1250ml. The specific products currently listed on this page are 500ml. Check the full catalogue or get in touch if you need a different size.

Are these containers microwave-safe?+

The PP containers are microwave-safe. Bagasse containers handle heat well but check individual product specs before putting them in a commercial microwave. Kraft board is not microwave-safe.

Can I get custom printed containers?+

Custom print is available on selected lines with minimum order quantities. It's not an off-the-shelf option — contact us directly and we'll work out whether it's feasible for your volume.

How fast do orders ship to Auckland?+

Order stocked lines before 4pm on a NZ business day and they dispatch same day. Delivery timeframes after that depend on your location within Auckland and the courier.

What's the difference between the BioCane tray and the Biopak rectangular container?+

The F4229 BioCane tray is bagasse, compostable, and comes in a carton of 500. The F1855 Biopak container is a different format and pairs with the F1856 RPET lid — that lid is recycled PET, not compostable. Different applications, different certifications.

Do you have a minimum order?+

We sell in carton quantities. Each product has its own carton count — 200, 300, or 500 depending on the line. No pallet minimums for standard stocked products.
