Whether you're running a poke counter, a cafe grain bowl, or a deli salad bar, the bowl matters. A flimsy base that buckles under dressing is a bad look at the pickup window. We stock rigid-base salad bowls in kraft and bagasse that hold their shape, stack cleanly, and take a lid without a fight.
Compostable options available. Clear and kraft lids stocked to match. Order by 4pm on a business day and we dispatch the same day on stocked lines.
Materials and what they're good for
Bagasse is pressed sugarcane fibre. It's home-compostable, handles hot and cold, and feels substantial in the hand. Good choice if your customers care about what goes in the bin.
Kraft bowls are the workhorse. Clean look, solid construction, pairs well with a clear PET lid so the food sells itself. Works for cold salads and ambient grain bowls.
PP (polypropylene) is your freezer and microwave-safe option. If you're doing meal prep, batch cooking, or anything that goes from cold storage into a microwave, PP is the call.

Lids: clear or kraft
Clear PET lids show off the food. If your bowl looks good, don't hide it. These click on securely and don't pop off in a delivery bag.
Kraft lids give a consistent branded look, especially if you're printing or stickering the top. They also block light if you're running grab-and-go and want food to look fresh longer.
Custom print and bulk orders
Custom printed salad bowls are available on minimum order quantities. Your logo on the bowl, every time it leaves the kitchen. Talk to us about lead times and MOQs before you commit to anything.

Good for more than salad

Are your salad bowls actually home-compostable or just marketed that way?+
The bagasse options are home-compostable. Check the specific product listing for certification details. Kraft and PP are not home-compostable — kraft is recyclable in many council streams, PP needs to go through soft plastics or general waste depending on your region.
What sizes do you stock?+
500ml, 750ml, 1000ml, and 1300ml. Availability varies by material, so check the product listings or contact us if you need a specific size in a specific material.
Can I freeze meals in these bowls?+
PP bowls are freezer safe. Bagasse and kraft are not designed for freezer storage — moisture will break them down. If you're doing meal prep that goes into a freezer, use the PP option.
Do the lids fit securely for delivery?+
Yes. The lids are matched to the bowl dimensions and clip on firmly. That said, we'd still recommend placing bowls upright in your delivery bags rather than stacking them sideways. Dressing moves around.
Can I get custom printing on these bowls?+
Yes, custom print is available. There's a minimum order quantity involved and a lead time that's longer than stocked lines. Get in touch before you need them, not the week before you open.
How fast do you dispatch?+
Orders placed before 4pm on a NZ business day are dispatched same day on stocked lines. Non-stocked or custom items have longer lead times. Check the product page or ask us directly if you're unsure whether something is stocked.
