Thai Takeaway Packaging
Curry leaks. Bad lids make it worse. Get containers that actually hold together.
Pad thai, green curry, tom yum — all of it needs a container that can handle heat, liquid, and a 20-minute ride in a delivery bag. We stock plastic, black oval, and compostable options so you can match the pack to the dish.
Cartons ship fast on stocked lines. Order before 4pm on a business day and we dispatch same day.
Containers for curries and soups
Liquid-heavy dishes need a wide, stable base and a lid that clips properly. The RF0610.1 Bonson Wide Base Container 700ml is built for exactly this — black, presentable, and sold 500 to a carton. For smaller portions, the RF4683 Black Oval Container 750ml and RF4680 Black Oval Container 500ml both come in 250-carton lots and sit flat in a bag without tipping.
- RF0610.1: 700ml wide base, black, 500/ctn
- RF4683: 750ml black oval, 250/ctn
- RF4680: 500ml black oval, 250/ctn
Compostable options if you're going green
More Thai operators are switching to certified compostable packaging. We stock a few solid options in the range.
- RF4204 Bio Square Container White 280ml — 130 x 130 x 45mm, 600/ctn. Good for sides, sauces, and small portions.
- RF4218 Bio Lid — fits both the 280ml and 480ml Bio Square containers, 600/ctn. Buy the lid separately so you're not doubling up on stock you don't need.
- F1855 Biopak Rectangular Container 500ml — 300/ctn. Handles heat well. Suits mains and noodle dishes.
- F4229 BioCane Takeaway Tray 500ml — 180 x 124 x 42mm, 500/ctn. Made from sugarcane fibre. Works well for dry dishes like pad thai.
Bulk storage containers for prep and service
If you're making curry paste, pre-portioning sauces, or storing stock in the cool room, the H4208 5ltr DG Plastic Container with Cap does the job. Five litres, solid cap, stackable. One of those things you don't think about until you run out.
Sizes, carton counts, and what to order
Thai menus usually span a few portion sizes — entrée, main, family. It pays to stock more than one container size rather than stuffing a 750ml oval with a two-tablespoon sauce.
- Small sides and sauces: RF4204 280ml Bio Square
- Single serves and mains: RF4680 500ml Black Oval or F1855 500ml Biopak Rectangular
- Generous mains and soups: RF0610.1 700ml Wide Base or RF4683 750ml Black Oval
- Bulk prep and storage: H4208 5ltr DG Plastic Container
All carton counts and dimensions are listed on individual product pages. No guessing required.
Frequently asked
Which container works best for curry and soup?+
The RF0610.1 Bonson Wide Base Container (700ml) is the pick for liquid dishes. Wide base means it doesn't tip, and the black finish looks decent in a delivery bag. For slightly smaller serves, the RF4683 750ml Black Oval is another solid option.
Do your compostable containers hold up with hot curry?+
The F1855 Biopak Rectangular Container and the RF4204 Bio Square handle heat well. The F4229 BioCane Tray is better suited to drier dishes like pad thai — it's not designed to hold a lot of liquid.
Do the Bio Square lids fit all your bio containers?+
The RF4218 Bio Lid fits the 280ml and 480ml Bio Square containers. It doesn't cross over to other container types, so check the product page before ordering.
What's the minimum order quantity?+
We sell by the carton. Carton sizes vary by product — the RF4204 Bio Square comes 600 to a carton, the black oval containers are 250 per carton. Full carton counts are on each product page.
Can I get same-day dispatch?+
Yes, on stocked lines. Order before 4pm on a NZ business day and we dispatch same day. If you're unsure whether a product is in stock, check the product page or get in touch.
Do you supply Thai restaurants across all of New Zealand?+
Yes. We supply operators in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton, Tauranga, Dunedin, and everywhere in between. See the location pages if you want region-specific info.
