Deli Containers for Dunedin Food Businesses

Thirty-seven Dunedin operators already use these. Here's what they're buying.

Dunedin runs on students, late nights, and a lot of takeaway. If you're portioning dips, sauces, or cold-case sides, you need containers that seal properly, stack neatly, and don't cost you a fortune per unit.

We stock round deli containers from 30ml up to 500ml in PP and clear plastic, with matching lids sold separately or as part of the pack. Order before 4pm on a business day and stocked lines go that afternoon.

What Dunedin Operators Are Actually Using These For

Campus-area cafes are portioning hummus and tzatziki into 250ml pots for the cold case. Sushi spots on George Street are using the 30ml pots for soy and pickled ginger. Indian and Thai places down south are sending curry pastes and chutneys home with customers in the 500ml containers.

The 50ml size moves fast in fried chicken shops — dipping sauce per order, sealed, labelled, done. The 2-in-1 Salad and Sauce Pottle setup works well for any cafe pushing healthy grab-and-go options to the university crowd.

Materials and Key Specs

Most of our round containers are PP — polypropylene. It handles freezer temperatures without cracking, and it's microwave-safe for reheating. The PLA 60ml cup is a plant-based option for operators who need compostable credentials on their cold condiment serves.

Lids are sold to match each container size. Don't assume the 30ml lid fits the 50ml pot — it doesn't. Check the SKU pairing before you order, or call us and we'll sort it.

  • Leak-tight lids — proper snap-fit, not a friction hope-for-the-best fit
  • Freezer-safe on PP lines
  • Stackable — the bases nest so your cold-case display stays tidy
  • Clear plastic on most lines so the product sells itself

Frequently asked

Do the lids come with the containers or do I buy them separately?+

Separately for most lines. The 30ml container (RF0914) and its lid (RF0914.1) are sold as separate packs of 250. Check the SKU on each — or contact us and we'll confirm the right pairing before you order.

Are these containers freezer-safe?+

The PP containers are. They won't crack in the freezer and they're fine for reheating in the microwave. The PLA 60ml cup is not freezer or microwave rated — it's for cold use only.

What's the smallest size you stock?+

30ml — that's the RF0914. It comes in packs of 250. Suit sauce portions, sample serves, or anything where you're sending a small condiment out the door with an order.

Do you do custom printed lids or containers for Dunedin businesses?+

Custom print is available on some lines with minimum order quantities. It's not a catalogue item — contact us directly with your artwork and volume requirements and we'll tell you what's possible.

What's the cut-off time for same-day dispatch?+

4pm on NZ business days, on stocked lines only. Get your order in before then and it goes that afternoon. Non-stocked or custom items don't qualify for same-day.

Is there a compostable option in this range?+

Yes — the RF2303 is a 60ml PLA cup, plant-based material, used as the sauce component in the 2-in-1 Salad and Sauce Pottle. For anything larger, contact us and we'll check what's available in the current catalogue.
