Sushi Containers Auckland
Clear lids, solid bases, and enough stock to cover a Friday lunch rush at Newmarket.
We supply sushi containers to 54 Auckland operators right now, from CBD sushi bars to Ponsonby cafes doing grab-and-go. The range covers BioCane bagasse trays and BioBoard kraft-and-black trays, in sizes from extra small through to long format.
Every tray is designed to show the product, not hide it. Clear lids where available, leak-resistant construction throughout, and carton quantities that make sense for a busy kitchen.
The trays we stock
Our sushi tray range splits into two material families.
- BioBoard Kraft and Black — F4651 extra small, F4652 small, F4653 medium, F4654 large, F4655 long. All 300 per carton. Kraft exterior, black interior. Retail-ready presentation.
- BioCane Bagasse — F4642 medium (188 x 134 x 24mm, 600/ctn), F4644 large (214 x 134 x 24mm), F4646 long (221 x 91 x 24mm). Made from sugarcane fibre. Compostable.
Both families are stocked lines, which means orders placed before 4pm on a NZ business day are dispatched the same day.
Materials explained
Three materials across the range. Here is what each one means for your operation.
- rPET — recycled PET plastic. Crystal-clear lid. Good for refrigerated retail display where the product needs to sell itself.
- PP — polypropylene. Microwave-safe bases. Useful if your customers are reheating at their desk.
- Bagasse — sugarcane fibre. The BioCane trays. Compostable, sturdy, and increasingly what Auckland councils and venues want to see.
Why Auckland sushi shops use Frankly
Frankly is a wholesale distributor, not a retail shop. That means carton pricing, not per-unit markups. The BioBoard trays come 300 to a carton. The BioCane medium comes 600 to a carton. That kind of volume suits a shop doing 100-plus trays a day.
We already work with 54 Auckland businesses in this category. We know what a Friday prep session looks like and we stock accordingly.
Custom print and branding
If you want your logo on the tray, that is a custom print job. Minimum order quantities apply and lead times are longer than stocked lines. Contact us to talk through what is possible for your volume.
Off-the-shelf, the BioBoard kraft-and-black finish already presents well at retail. A lot of operators find they do not need custom print to look professional on a shelf.
Frequently asked
What sizes do your sushi trays come in?+
BioBoard trays run extra small, small, medium, large, and long. BioCane trays come in medium (188 x 134 x 24mm), large (214 x 134 x 24mm), and long (221 x 91 x 24mm). If you need bento large, get in touch and we can confirm availability.
Are these trays compostable?+
The BioCane range is made from bagasse, which is sugarcane fibre, and is compostable. The BioBoard range uses a kraft-and-black board construction. If certification details matter for your venue or council contract, contact us and we will send you the spec sheets.
Can I get same-day dispatch in Auckland?+
Yes, on stocked lines. Place your order before 4pm on a NZ business day and it goes out the same day. All the BioBoard and BioCane trays listed here are stocked lines.
Do you do custom printed sushi trays?+
We do. Custom print has longer lead times and minimum order quantities. It is not a same-day dispatch situation. Contact us with your volume and timeline and we will work out whether it makes sense.
Are the bases microwave-safe?+
PP bases are microwave-safe. The BioCane bagasse trays are not designed for microwave use. If your customers are reheating, check the product spec before committing to a carton.
What is the minimum order?+
We sell by the carton. BioBoard trays are 300 per carton. BioCane medium is 600 per carton. There is no per-unit option. If you need a sample before committing to a full carton, get in touch.
