Fried Chicken Packaging in Tauranga
Crispy out of the fryer, still crispy at the door — that's the job.
Tauranga's hospo scene moves fast. Summer crowds, tourist traffic, delivery orders stacking up on a Friday night — your packaging needs to keep pace. We supply fried chicken boxes and buckets that vent steam, resist grease, and stack without collapsing under a rush.
Snack boxes, 2pc, 6pc, and family buckets in kraft, printed card, and bagasse. Ready to order, dispatched same day on stocked lines if you're in before 4pm.
What We Stock
Four core formats cover most menus:
- Snack box — strips, nuggets, a couple of wings. Compact, vented lid, grease-resistant base.
- 2pc box — two pieces with a side. Holds heat without turning skin soggy.
- 6pc box — the workhorse. Deep enough for thighs and drumsticks, ventilated so steam escapes.
- Family bucket — stackable, sturdy, print-ready if you want your brand on it.
Materials are kraft board, printed card, and bagasse. All grease-resistant. All flat-pack for storage.
Why Ventilation Actually Matters
Steam is the enemy of crispy. A sealed box traps it. The chicken sweats. The coating goes soft. By the time it reaches the customer, you've done the hard work for nothing.
Every box we stock has ventilation built in. Steam escapes. The crust stays. That's the difference between a five-star review and a complaint about soggy chicken.
Ordering From Tauranga
We currently serve one Frankly customer in Tauranga — so you won't be waiting on a crowded regional queue. Order is straightforward: browse, add to cart, check out. Stocked lines dispatch same day if your order is in before 4pm on a NZ business day.
If you need custom print or a format we don't list, get in touch. We can talk through lead times and minimums without the runaround.
Sustainability Options
Bagasse boxes are made from sugarcane fibre — a byproduct that would otherwise be waste. They're sturdy, grease-resistant, and compostable. If your customers care about that, your packaging can show it without you having to explain it.
Kraft board is the no-fuss option. Recyclable, familiar, cost-effective. Most operators in New Zealand use it for good reason.
Frequently asked
What sizes of fried chicken boxes do you stock?+
We stock snack boxes, 2pc, 6pc, and family bucket formats. Each is designed for a different serve size — strips and nuggets up to a full family order.
Are the boxes actually grease-resistant or do they just say they are?+
The board is treated for grease resistance on the base and sides. It won't hold up for hours of sitting in oil, but for standard service and delivery windows it does the job.
Can I get custom printing on the boxes?+
Yes. Printed card boxes are print-ready and we can discuss custom runs. Lead times and minimum quantities apply — contact us before you need them, not the week of launch.
Do you deliver to Tauranga?+
Yes. We dispatch to Tauranga on stocked lines. Orders in before 4pm on a NZ business day go out same day.
What's the most sustainable option for fried chicken packaging?+
Bagasse boxes are compostable and made from sugarcane fibre. Kraft board is recyclable. Both are better than plastic-coated card — ask us about what's right for your setup.
How do the boxes stack in storage?+
All formats are flat-packed. They stack tight on the shelf and don't take up much room — which matters when your kitchen isn't exactly spacious.
