Fried Chicken Packaging in Christchurch
Keeps the crunch intact from fryer to front door — whether you're in the CBD or out in the suburbs.
Christchurch's takeaway scene is busy and getting busier. The CBD rebuild brought new foot traffic, and the suburban trade never slowed down. If you're running a fried chicken shop anywhere from Sydenham to Rolleston, your packaging needs to do real work — hold the heat, block the grease, and not turn soggy before the customer's off the motorway.
We currently supply 9 Christchurch operators with fried chicken packaging. Snack boxes through to family buckets, kraft and printed card, ventilated so the steam escapes instead of killing your crunch.
What We Stock
Four core formats, built for chicken service:
- Snack box — compact, ventilated, good for a 2-piece and a side
- 2pc box — the workhorse of any chicken menu
- 6pc box — solid for a meal deal or a shared serve
- Family bucket — stackable, grease-resistant, holds up through a 30-minute drive
All boxes are print-ready if you want your branding on them. Sold by the carton.
Materials That Actually Handle Chicken
We stock three materials across the fried chicken range:
- Kraft — unbleached, sturdy, looks the part on a counter or in a delivery bag
- Printed card — white base for full-colour branding, same grease resistance
- Bagasse — pressed sugarcane fibre, compostable, good if your customers care about that and you want them to know it
All three are grease-resistant and ventilated. None of them turn soft on you mid-delivery.
Ordering for Christchurch
We dispatch stocked lines the same day if your order is in before 4pm on a NZ business day. Christchurch is well within our South Island delivery network.
If you're after custom print — your logo, your colours, your sizing — get in touch and we'll talk quantities and lead times. That's not a same-day job, but we'll be straight with you about what's involved.
Why Ventilation Matters
Steam is the enemy of crunch. You fry chicken properly, it comes out crispy. Then it sits in a sealed box for 20 minutes and the steam has nowhere to go. The crust softens. The customer notices.
Ventilated boxes let that moisture out. It sounds simple because it is. It's also the main thing most operators get wrong when they're buying on price alone and end up with generic clamshells that weren't designed for hot, moist fried food.

We stock snack box, 2pc, 6pc, and family bucket formats. All available in kraft, printed card, or bagasse.
Can I get boxes printed with my brand?+
Yes. Custom print is available on our printed card range. Minimum quantities apply and lead times are longer than stocked lines — contact us for specifics.
Do you deliver to Christchurch?+
Yes. We deliver throughout Canterbury. Order stocked lines before 4pm on a NZ business day and we'll dispatch the same day.
Are any of your fried chicken boxes compostable?+
Our bagasse range is compostable. It's made from pressed sugarcane fibre and handles heat and grease well.
How are the boxes sold — can I buy a mixed carton?+
Boxes are sold by the carton. Contact us if you need to mix formats across an order and we'll sort out what works.
Do the boxes stack well in a busy kitchen?+
