Fish and Chip Packaging
Greasy chips deserve better than a soggy bag falling apart on the walk home.
We stock scoops, dinner trays, and family boxes built for hot, oily food. Greaseproof-lined where it counts. Kraft or white card depending on your look.
Small scoop to family box — the full range is on the shelf, ready to go. Order before 4pm on a business day and we dispatch the same day.
What We Stock
Four formats cover most fish and chip shops:
- Small scoop — snack serves, kids' meals, or sides
- Large scoop — the standard single serve
- Dinner tray — fish, chips, and a fritter without juggling
- Family box — feeds four, stacks flat when empty
All formats come in kraft or white card. White card takes print better. Kraft holds up the same either way.
Why These Materials
Greaseproof lining stops the box going translucent before the customer gets to their car. It's not glamorous but it does the job.
Kraft is sturdy, handles condensation better than plain card, and looks good without any printing. White card is the one to use if you're running a custom print — cleaner base, colours come up sharper.
All formats are stackable. That matters at 6pm on a Friday when the bench is full.
Custom Print
Your logo on the box is straightforward. We can set you up with printed stock on dinner trays and family boxes. Minimum order quantities apply — get in touch and we'll give you the actual numbers, not a runaround.
Scoops and small trays are available plain or with a generic kraft finish. Custom print on those is possible on larger runs.
Ordering and Dispatch
Stocked lines ship same day if you order before 4pm on a NZ business day. Family boxes and dinner trays are stocked. If you're after something non-standard, allow extra lead time.
We supply shops across Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton, Tauranga, and Dunedin. Volume pricing applies — the more you order, the better the rate. No mystery fees.
Frequently asked
What sizes do you stock?+
Small scoop, large scoop, dinner tray, and family box. All held in stock for same-day dispatch on NZ business days when ordered before 4pm.
Are your boxes actually grease-resistant or just marketed that way?+
The greaseproof-lined options have a proper liner inside the box. It handles hot chips and battered fish without the box falling apart. Plain card is not suitable for oily food — we don't recommend it for this use.
Can I get my logo printed on the packaging?+
Yes. Custom print is available on dinner trays and family boxes. White card is the better base for print. Get in touch for minimum quantities and lead times — it depends on the format and run size.
What's the difference between kraft and white card?+
Same structural performance, different look. Kraft is brown, handles condensation well, suits a straightforward fish and chip shop aesthetic. White card is cleaner and takes colour printing better.
Do you deliver to smaller towns or just the main centres?+
We ship nationwide. We have specific stock and pricing info for Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, Hamilton, Tauranga, and Dunedin — but we're not limited to those cities.
Are these boxes suitable for a family takeaway serve?+
The family box is designed exactly for that. It holds a multi-person serve, stacks flat when empty, and the greaseproof lining keeps the base intact. It's the right tool for a family order.
