- 90gsm: Heavy wrapping, moving protection, butcher-style presentation
Not sure which weight you need? Heavier gsm means more tear resistance. For anything going into a delivery bag or getting bundled up tight, go 70gsm minimum.
Kraft vs White Paper Rolls — Which One?
Brown kraft and white kraft are made the same way. The difference is cosmetic and practical.
Brown kraft is unbleached, which means it's slightly stronger for the same gsm. It has a natural, no-fuss look that suits fish and chip shops, burger joints, and any operator going for a casual, honest aesthetic. It's also typically cheaper than white.
White kraft is bleached, which costs more to produce. It suits bakeries, dessert kitchens, or anyone whose brand calls for a cleaner presentation. If you're printing or stamping a logo onto the paper, white gives better contrast.
For most hospo operators doing food wrapping and tray lining, brown kraft is the practical call.

What's the difference between 60gsm and 90gsm kraft paper?+
Heavier gsm means more tear resistance and thickness. For light tray lining or counter roll dispensers, 60gsm is fine. For wrapping food that needs to hold together in a delivery bag or under pressure, go 70gsm or 90gsm.
