Fish & Chip Packaging for Tauranga Takeaways

Crispy batter deserves a box that doesn't turn it to steam before the customer hits the carpark.

Tauranga's a busy spot. Summer tourists, locals who know their regular, beach crowds that show up without warning. Your packaging needs to keep up. Hot chips stay hot, battered fish stays crisp, and nothing leaks through the bottom of the bag.

We supply fish and chip shops across the Bay of Plenty with boxes, seafood bags, and containers that actually do the job. Stocked lines ship same-day if you're in before 4pm.

The Boxes, Bags, and Containers We Stock

Three products that cover most of what a fish and chip shop needs:

  • F1828 Fish & Chip Box Large — 250 x 150 x 90mm, cartons of 250. Big enough for a decent serve, structured enough to stack in a bag without collapsing.
  • B9726 Seafood / Shellfish Bags 3kg — 4 rolls of 500 per carton. For mussels, prawns, and anything sold by weight at the counter.
  • RB9727 Whole Fish Seafood Bag Natural — 600 x 100 x 300mm, 900 per carton. Long, gusseted, handles a whole snapper or a big kahawai without splitting.

All three are available for wholesale order. No retail margins, no fuss.

Why the Right Box Matters at 6pm on a Friday

A soggy bottom isn't a vibe issue, it's a customer service issue. Chips that steam inside a sealed container go soft fast. The F1828 box has enough structure to hold the heat without trapping moisture against the food.

The seafood bags are food-safe and rated to 3kg — which matters when someone orders a bag of green-lipped mussels and you don't want the bag giving out on the way to the car.

Ordering for a Tauranga Shop

We currently serve one customer in Tauranga. That number will grow, and we're set up to handle it. Orders on stocked lines placed before 4pm NZ business days are dispatched same-day.

Buying in carton quantities keeps your cost per unit down. If you're going through a carton of boxes a week, the maths on wholesale versus retail packaging is pretty straightforward.

Not sure on quantities? Get in touch and we'll work it out with you.

Other Packaging Your Shop Might Need

Most fish and chip shops sell more than just fish and chips. Calamari, scallops, oysters, coleslaw, drinks. We stock deli containers for sides and sauces, and a full range of takeaway containers for combo orders.
