Bubble Tea Cups for Dunedin Operators
The cups that keep up with a queue of students at 9pm on a Tuesday.
We supply bubble tea cups to 37 Dunedin businesses already. Shops on George Street, cafes near the Octagon, operators running the campus rush — they all need cups that seal properly, hold 24oz without flexing, and work with their existing sealer and straws.
We stock PP, rPET, and PLA cups in 12oz, 16oz, 22oz, and 24oz. Dome lid compatible. Heat-seal film compatible. Wide-bore straw ready. Clear or printed options available depending on volume.
Sizes and Materials
Four sizes: 12oz, 16oz, 22oz, and 24oz. The 22oz and 24oz are your workhorses for a full taro milk tea with a scoop of pearls. The 12oz suits kids' drinks and smaller serves.
Material options:
- PP (polypropylene) — tough, heat-seal compatible, good for hot or cold.
- rPET (recycled PET) — clear, rigid, cold drinks only.
- PLA (plant-based) — compostable option for operators with a sustainability focus. Cold drinks only.
All three materials work with standard wide-bore bubble tea straws. Check your sealer specs before ordering — not all sealers work with every film type.
Lids and Sealing Options
Dome lids give you the classic bubble tea look. Heat-seal film gives you a tamper-evident seal that travels without spilling. You can stock both and choose by drink type.
Heat-seal film is the better call for delivery orders. Anyone who has handed a domed cup to a courier knows why.
Make sure your sealer diameter matches the cup rim. Our cups use standard rim sizes — contact us if you need to confirm compatibility before you order a full carton.
Ordering for a Dunedin Shop
Orders on stocked lines placed before 4pm on a NZ business day go out the same day. Dunedin is well within our South Island freight network.
Minimum order quantities depend on the product line. Carton quantities are listed on each product page. If you are running low mid-week, place your order before 4pm and it moves that afternoon.
Custom printed cups are available on larger runs. Lead times vary — talk to us before you commit to a print run if you have a hard deadline around O-Week or a big event.
What Dunedin Bubble Tea Shops Actually Need
Dunedin trade is concentrated and high-volume during semester. A shop near the university can go through a carton of cups faster than most operators expect the first time they hit a busy week.
Stock a buffer. A full pallet of 24oz cups takes up less floor space than you think, and running out on a Friday night is a bad situation.
If you are new to the Dunedin market or opening a second site, we can talk through what volumes other local operators are running. We are not going to share names, but the numbers are useful context.
Frequently asked
What sizes do you stock for bubble tea cups?+
12oz, 16oz, 22oz, and 24oz. The 22oz and 24oz are the most popular for standard bubble tea serves with toppings.
Are these cups compatible with heat-seal machines?+
The PP cups are heat-seal compatible. rPET and PLA cups can also be sealed depending on your machine and the film type. Check your sealer specs or contact us before ordering if you are not sure.
Do you offer compostable options?+
Yes. PLA cups are plant-based and compostable under commercial composting conditions. They are suitable for cold drinks only.
Can I get cups printed with my logo?+
Yes, on larger volume orders. Custom print runs have minimum quantities and lead times that vary. Contact us early — do not leave it to the week before you need them.
How fast can I get an order in Dunedin?+
Orders on stocked lines placed before 4pm on a NZ business day are dispatched the same day. Freight times to Dunedin depend on your courier, but we move the order out of our warehouse that afternoon.
Do the cups come with straws?+
Cups and straws are sold separately. We stock wide-bore bubble tea straws that are compatible with all our cup sizes. Add them to your order when you check out.
